K, Le Maestro

This weeks episode features K, Le Maestro, a talented young man on the rise who taught me that true creativity is about existence and giving of yourself and being honest -- true creativity. He has already caught the ear of esteemed beatsmiths like Dibia$e, Elaquent, & Flying Lotus, by dropping a steady stream of remixes and original productions. Only midway through his senior year of high school, the resourceful young producer recently broke one million plays on SoundCloud. Using nothing but the little-known DAW Mixcraft and his trusty laptop. We chat about his journey through middle school through the gap year in University, to his energy that he puts out into the universe, Roots Manuva, the London hip-hop scene compared to America, and his new project Syn.

Thank you to POSTPARTUM., a German underground hip-hop label, for sponsoring this week's episode. They been releasing hip-hop cassettes and records in limited runs–and all sold-out–for several years now. They do editions of 400 copies (250 of marbled 180grams copies, 150 of black 180grams copies). All copies come with a handnumbered obi-banderole and a download voucher. Their next drop will be "Krooks - Everyday Struggle" and it will be dropped on 7th of June digitally and on 9th of June on vinyl.
